The strong side of the edition: The newspaper, telling about the problems of actual life has to be read.
Portrait of edition: Everything started when the newspaper «Schastlivaya strana» has been published in Human Centre of Intellectual Development in Toliatti in October 2000. Children from the hobby group «Young journalist» issued it.
Since October 1st, 2000 The School of Young Journalist (SYJ) started its work in HCID in Toliatti. Pupils of 9-11th forms, who dreamt to become journalists, were accepted in this school. They proposed to change the newspaper name, which one reminded the names of Soviet epoch. The newspaper became older. «Schastlivaya strana (Happy land) » was changed into the youth newspaper «V tsentre (In the centre) ».
Only 36 issues of the newspaper were published, but we hope that it is only the beginning. In the year 2004 we took part in the contest of projects in youth politics sphere. Our project was called «Professional orientation of teenagers and youth to be a journalist in the course of work under the newspaper «V tsentre». Our project won and we bought a risograph for the received money. So we could distribute the newspaper in all educational institutions of Toliatti.
Our newspaper contains the following rubrics: «Mass media and I», «Festivals, contests, concerts…», «Creative meetings», «Generation voice», «People and fortunes», «And again the war…», «In the world of music», «Creative page», «Get to know us» etc.
We work pretty often at the special issues. For example, they can be devoted to the Victory Day or the problems of ecology.
Since the stuff of the SYJ is future journalists, there are many articles connected to the journalist profession. Social and political life is also regularly shown in the newspaper (terrorism, ecology, memory, etc.). Young journalists always in motion, they don`t stay at one place, so the rubrics «U nas v gostyah (We have a visit)», «Mi v gostyax(We are on a visit)» are always recruited with different articles. We try to highlight the youth problems: education, employment assistance, healthy life style, leisure etc.
